Craig McMullan, Head of Internal Sales.
1. Can you tell us about your role and what a typical day looks like for you?
"My role is the Head of Internal Sales at Hyde Park. I support all members of the internal sales team, helping them deliver outstanding service to our customers. I’m part of a dynamic team focused on providing solutions that genuinely make our clients’ lives easier."
"While there’s no such thing as a typical day, that’s exactly what I enjoy most about the role. We’re constantly responding to the evolving needs of our customers and the wider business. My day usually starts with a team huddle and a catch-up with the field sales team. From there, it can include quoting for clients, winning new business, attending weekly product training sessions, or supporting the marketing team with product demonstrations and the occasional TikTok trend!"
2. What is a project or achievement you are particularly proud of?
"One of my biggest achievements was being involved in the move to our new premises midway through last year. The new building has given us significantly more room to grow, improved facilities, and a much better working environment."
"Hosting our Open Day in September was also a real highlight. It was a privilege to welcome clients into the space, showcase what we have to offer, connect with them in person and wow them with our team."

3. Absorbents are our product of month, why are they key to effective spill management?
"Spill absorbents let you control, contain and clean up hazardous or non-hazardous spills quickly and safely. They provide rapid containment and clean-up, ensuring that this protects people in the workplace, prevents damage to equipment, and reduces environmental impact."
"Beyond safety, absorbents also help businesses stay compliant with health & safety regulations and environmental legislation while minimising downtime and disruption to operations."
4. What advice would you give to businesses using them?
"Effective spill management isn’t just about cleaning up a mess, it’s a vital part of workplace safety, environmental protection, and legal compliance. Spills can happen in any industry, whether that’s manufacturing, transport, warehousing, workshops, or labs."
"Businesses should plan for spills, not just react to them, to avoid:
- Injury to staff or visitors
- Damage to equipment
- Costly downtime
- Environmental contamination"
"Being proactive is always cheaper and safer than emergency response."
